Camp 2020 Rescheduled for 2021

Hello, Campers & Families.

As much as we were looking forward to sharing five adventurous days with you this summer, we also take the health and safety of our campers, volunteers and staff members very seriously.

Due to the continued rise of COVID-19 positive cases and recommended guidelines from the Minnesota Department of Health, we are officially rescheduling camp for June 23-27, 2021.

Look on the bright side—we’re using the extra time to further improve our camp itinerary, enhance camp activities, connect with more volunteers, and gear up for a bigger and better 2021.

Already Registered and Paid for 2020?

We’ll reach out soon by email regarding your options for reimbursement. Stay T.U.N.E.d!

Be well and enjoy the outdoors safely.

Sincerely,

Bruce Gockowski  |  Director

10 Campers Registered Already

This year marks the first time we have 10 young campers registered before the end of February.

Wow! And that’s not counting today, a leap day.

“I want to go to camp to become more immersed in nature and the Outdoors. I have been out in the field with my dad to train our two dogs as well as observing a real hunt to see how they have improved. I would benefit from this camp as I could learn about conservation, learn more techniques when it comes to hunting, and have a great time.”

Girl, age 13

What’s your 11-16yo outdoor enthusiast doing this summer? We’d love to see their smiling face in July for five days of fresh air, learning, and fun.

Easy registration begins with our new online forms. Register today, drop them off at camp in July.

See you out and about!

2018 Pheasants Forever State Convention

Our year begins January 19-20 in Willmar, MN at the Pheasants Forever state convention. We’ll be there to swap stories, tips and tricks while exhibiting the fun and educational outdoor activities that so many young girls and boys enjoy at T.U.N.E. Camp MN. If you attend the show, be sure to stop by our booth to say hello. Looking forward to seeing some familiar faces.

The Ultimate Nature Experience

Our name says a lot because there’s so many ways we support young girls and boys in their enthusiasm for fun and educational outdoor activities. The phrase “The Ultimate Nature Experience” gives us our T.U.N.E. name and also describes our wish for you.

Oh, and you don’t have to be an experienced “camper” to have a rewarding experience with us. Our staff and volunteers love to work with youth of all experience levels. Looks like you’re about out of excuses?

See you at Camp.

Great Waters Fly Fishing Expo ’17

Bruce, Vic, and other volunteers are running the T.U.N.E. Camp MN booth at the GWFFE this weekend at Hamline University in St. Paul. Follow the link for the schedule and details about the Expo. There is so much to see and do. There is even a huge pool to practice casting on!

We had a quiet day yesterday, but expect to be very busy today and tomorrow. Janine Kohn, creator of the T.U.N.E. program swung in with her husband, Benji, who will be a Camp volunteer again this summer. David and his daughter, Lindsay, a Camper from last year, are volunteering to run the booth today. You can ask her what she thought of T.U.N.E. Camp MN.

Stop by the booth and say hello, check out our display, make your own “fish prints” as these boys are doing, put insect stamps (temporary tattoos) on your skin, or even lend us a hand. We hope to see you there.
